I am the victim of cyberstalking. It is now recognized by law enforcement agencies, government organizations, and safety coalitions around the United States that putting web pages on the internet that contain false accusations about other people represents about 25% of the stalking behaviors initiated each year.
I've been the target of a pretty spectacular cyberstalking attack.
According to Wikipedia: "Many cyberstalkers try to damage the reputation of their victim and turn other people against them. They post false information about them on websites. They may set up their own websites, blogs or user pages for this purpose. They post allegations about the victim to newsgroups, chat rooms or other sites that allow public contributions, such as Wikipedia or Amazon.com."
To my knowledge, no one has attempted to vandalize my Wikipedia page, but several "anonymous" IPs tried repeatedly to vandalize Alan Rodgers' Wikipedia page.
For the record, Alan Rodgers was never charged with murdering our baby, who died January 11, 2005 in an accident at home. Alan did not murder our baby Anthony.
My baby did die that night. I did receive a phone call later that night asking if I would donate his heart to a baby who needed one. My family, friends, and my employers have all supported me and my daughter the entire time. In the case of my writing friends, I received love, caring and support literally from all over the world, and I will never forget the kindnesses that were offered at the time. My faith, my family, and my friends have kept me going this entire time. They helped me to understand what had happened as much as I could, and to accept that he was gone - and nothing I could do could bring him back.
I would ask if you have injured yourself by reading some of this cyberstalking material and totally false, evil allegations that also injure innocent children, for exposure to evil hurts us all - that you consider making a donation to one of the two charities that accepted donations after Anthony's death. Yes, Anthony was born with Down Syndrome. I knew there was a chance he might have it before he was born. I chose to preserve his life, because I believed that, no matter what, I was a well-educated, successful woman and could support him no matter what his challenges or delays might be. The Garden of Angels in Yucaipa, CA provides a decent burial for babies that are found abandoned, and now, offers safe surrender services for mothers who cannot care for their babies. The Down Syndrome Association of Los Angeles helped me both before and after Anthony was born - so tremendously.
I am also the survivor of violent crime, and I was diagnosed and treated for complex PTSD in 2007. I hope that you can understand that I do comprehend that the violence, viciousness and attacks come from individuals with a complete lack of capacity in nearly every human functioning area. No normal person would ever choose the path the cyberstalker has, with failure in every area. If you have been exposed to this material, again, I urge you to take a positive step to counteract the evil. Contributions to those organizations are a start. Working on acceptance, tolerance and kindness will help you and everyone.
Also, I have received over 340 visits from two IP addresses known to be used by Daniel Moran or his relatives in the two years following his highly-maintained web page defaming Alan Rodgers, myself, and my 17-year old daughter. After Moran wrote a completely false message that he directed his wife to email to former business contacts following what he states is his "victory" in alienating a father from his children in September, 2009 (over 6 months ago), would a person not wonder why he would continue to publicize his defamatory information, if he indeed "won"? Not one person not identified with these two high-volume IP addresses have ever read anything on my web page that internet diagnostics can identify. They can't even be bothered to read "about" me. As near as I can determine, approximately 15 people have been attracted by Moran's defamation. I have, to date, about 100,000 readers, and at least 2,000 students. Good job, Moran. You should have thought of this type of thing when you failed to graduate from high school in 1979. Or 1980. Whenever you went to school with Mark McGwire. And I guess these dummies that believe what Moran spews believe he ever had anything to do with Mark McGwire (who attended a private Catholic school - oops! Better check your stats, Moran). But then, these are the same people waiting for a book . . . for over a decade!
